One of the game&#8217;s objectives is to identify areas that are already functioning well in order to maximize their impact on the change initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jurgenappelo\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/jurgenappelo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jurgen Appelo<\/a>, who is at the origin of the <a href=\"https:\/\/management30.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/management30.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Management 3.0<\/a> theory, the workshop consists of 34 cards which each propose a question to be addressed upstream of a change project, according to 4 axes of reflection inspired by 4 management frameworks: the system, individuals, interactions and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 34 questions are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Systel<\/strong> (by running Deming&#8217;s wheel \u2013 <em>Plan, Do, Check, Act<\/em>):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What is your goal?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Where is it going well?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the crucial steps?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When and where do you start?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do you measure results?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do you get feedback?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do you accelerate results?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Network <\/strong>(by using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prosci.com\/methodology\/adkar\">ADKAR\u00ae Model<\/a> \u2013 <em>Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability and Reinforcement<\/em>):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Are you committed?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who is assisting you?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who will be the innovators?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who are the early adopters?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How will the leaders help?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do you reach the early majority?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can you make it viral?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How will you deal with skeptics?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How will you prevent a relapse?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>People <\/strong>(by browsing the model of diffusion of innovations \u2013 Innovators, Early adopters, Early majority, Late majority, Laggards):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How will you communicate?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How will you set an example?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do you make it urgent?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do you make it desirable?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How will you teach them?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who will be teaching?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What makes it easy?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can they practice?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What are the short-term wins?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What makes it sustainable?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Environment <\/strong>(based on the 5Is model \u2013 <em>Information, Identity, Incentives, Infrastructure, Institutions<\/em>):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How do you radiate information?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How do you ease information?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>What is the group identity?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How can grow peer pressure?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can you incentivize good behavior?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which barriers will you remove?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which guides will you place?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Who can make the rules?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to play the <strong>Change Management Game<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The game&#8217;s rules are simple and adaptable to your context. Participants share change stories based on drawn cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game can be useful in various situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When starting a new change project, simply put the cards on the table and look at some of them: Are everyone on the team able to answer them?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use retrospective questions to reflect on what went well and where there is room for improvement.
